Dr Cara du Plooy is a General Practitioner from Bloemfontein in the Free State Province. Her practice is known for inclusivity and care for each patient within their context. While completing her internship, community service and as a medical officer and registrar, she gained experience working with other healthcare professionals to provide optimal care and support to patients in all areas with various healthcare needs.
She established her solo practice in March 2024. Private practice allows her the freedom to pursue her own goals and provide each patient with the best possible care. It also enables her to build long-term healthcare relationships with her patients.
Medicine has always been a calling for Dr du Plooy, and she has never wanted to do anything else, making medical studies a natural choice. She is most passionate about problem-solving and finding practical solutions.
Dr du Plooy is a keen sportswoman who participates in cycling, mountain biking, triathlon and swimming. She has completed several Aquelle Midmar 8 Mile challenges from 2015 to 2023, the Maluti 100-miler Mountain Bike race in August 2020 and the Ironman 70.3 in January 2017.
